DAMPER (SHOCK)
The SAG value should be between 15% and 35% of the total deflection. This corresponds to
approx. 7 to 18 mm in the installed damper. If the value so exceeded or not reached, the air
pressure of the damper must be adjusted.
MEASURING THE SAG VALUE
1. Push the O ring
3
to the wipe-off seal
2
of the damper
(fig. AE).
2. Sit on the bike in the riding position. Do not rock to avoid
falsifying the SAG value.
3. Carefully get off of the bicycle.
4. Measure the negative deflection (SAG value) between the
wipe-off seal
2
of the damper and the O-ring
3
(fig. AE).
SETTING THE DAMPER
Use an air pump with pressure gauge to set or check the
air pressure.
1. Take off the valve cap
1
(fig. AE).
2. Apply the air pump to the valve of the damper and check the air pressure at the pressure
gauge.
3. Check the air pressure if necessary.
Reduce the SAG value
Increase the air pressure
Increase the SAG value
Reduce the air pressure
DANGER
• Do not exceed or undercut the air pressure range released for the air damper (3.45
bar/50 psi to 13.8 bar/200psi). Damage to the damper and frame may occur. Danger
of damage and accidents!
