millimetres.
SET THE FRONT DERAILLEUR
1. The guide plate

(fig. BW) of the front derailleur must be
2-3 millimetres above the teeth of the large blade and run in
parallel to the large chain ring (fig. BW & BX). Correct the po -
sition of the front derailleur if necessary.
2. Switch to the smallest chain ring and the largest pinion of
the rear derailleur to set the swivel range of the front derail-
leur.
3. Turn the screw L

out until the chain runs past the inner
guide plate

without grinding (fig. BX).
4. Switch onto the largest chain ring and the smallest sprocket
of the rear derailleur.
5. Adjust the chain with the screw H
2
, so that it runs past the
outer guide plate

without grinding (fig. BX).
REMOVING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Disconnect the brake cable

(fig. BY) from its guide in order
to take out the wheel more easily later.
2. Loosen the axle nuts on both sides of the rear wheel with an
15 mm wrench or release the lever of the quick tensioner
(depending on equipment).
3. Take off the axle nuts and the washers.
4. Pull out the rear wheel from the drop-out.
INSTALLING THE REAR WHEEL
1. Place the chain on the pinion.
2. Place the rear wheel into the drop-out. Ensure that the
wheel is placed straight in the holder.
3. Push the shifting protection bracket (if present) and the
washers onto the axle.
4. Attach the wheel with the axle nuts on both sides with a
GEARSHIFT
• If there are any grinding sounds at the front derailleur during the ride, check the set-
tings of the front derailleur at once. Otherwise, there may be damage to the chain and
the gearshift.
