Section 5 Service Procedures

To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire, explosion, serious injury or death:
• Disconnect electric power to the tumbler before servicing.
• Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumbler before servicing.
• Close steam valve to steam tumbler before servicing.
• Never start the tumbler with any guards/panels removed.
• Whenever ground wires are removed during servicing, these ground wires must be

reconnected to ensure that the tumbler is properly grounded.

51. DRIVE MOTOR

Refer to Figure 29.

a. Remove two screws holding drive access cover

in place. Remove door. Refer to Figure 22.

b. Disconnect spring.
c. Lift motor up.

d. Reach into cabinet and disconnect belt by

rolling off pulley.

e. Unscrew nut at end of shaft.

f. Remove plate and motor from shaft to service.

g. Set down motor, remove four bolts on top of

motor.

h. Remove motor from plate.

To reduce the risk of injury, use care when
reaching into cabinet through belt service
door. The idler pulley could snap into place,
causing injury.
