Drive for SSR
DC Voltage level is generated for switching the external SSR (Solid State Relay). Connect (+) and (-)
terminals of SSR to controller terminals 6 and 5, respectively. Use Zero-Crossover, 3 to 30 VDC
operated SSR, rated approximately 1.5 times the actual load rating. Use appropriate Heat Sink for
load rating exceeding 10A.
DC Linear Current / Voltage Output
If the Output-1 is configured for DC Linear (mA/V), connect the power module (like Thyristor, SCR,
I/P Converter, etc.) as shown in figure 12.3 (c).

The Output-2 and Output-3 are available through plug-in modules. The modules are factory configured for either Relay / SSR
or DC Linear Voltage or DC Linear Current. The connection descriptions are the same as those described for Output-1.

Note :
If the Controller is ordered with Auxiliary Setpoint feature, the digital input for Main & Auxiliary Setpoint selection is provided on terminals 14
& 15. The Serial Communication Port option is thus not available.
If the Optional plug-in communication board is fitted, connect terminal 14 and 15 of the controller to (+) and (-) terminals of the
Master device as shown in figure 12.5 below. For reliable noise free communication, use a pair of twisted wires inside
screened cable as shown in Figure 12.5. The wire should have less than 100 ohms / km nominal DC resistance (Typically 24
AWG or thicker). Connect the terminating resistor (Typically 100 to 150 ohm) at one end to improve noise immunity.
