➢
If the burner flame does not ignite, return the rotary knob to position O
FF
«
»
and repeat the procedure.
➢
The ignition device
must not
be operated for
more than 15 seconds
! If the
burner has not ignited after 15 seconds, stop the ignition process and return the
rotary knob of the corresponding gas burner to
position O
FF
«
». Open the
room door or a window and
wait at least 60 seconds
before you carry out
further ignition processes.
➢
If the burner flame goes out unintentionally, return the rotary knob to position
O
FF
«
».
Do not
carry out any ignition process for
at least 60 seconds
.
➢
If the burner flame does not ignite even after several attempts, check the proper
arrangement of the burner components (s. chapter 4.2.1 P
REPARATIONS
).
In the event of a power failure or ignition failure, you can use a commercially
available
gas lighter or an extra-long match to ignite the burner flame. In such a
case,
be especially careful
.
RISK OF BURNS!
WARNING!
In such a case,
do not
use a normal lighter or a normal
match to ignite the burner flame. RISK OF BURNS!
I
MPORTANT NOTES
:
FOR MODELS WITH THERMOCOUPLE ONLY
!
Models with a thermocouple
41
: the ignition button must be kept pressed for a few
seconds after igniting the burner to give the thermocouple time to heat up. The
burner may go out when the ignition button is released: in this case, the
thermocouple has not heated up sufficiently. Wait a few moments and repeat the
process by pressing the ignition button for a longer time. This is not necessary
for burners that are not equipped with a thermocouple.
4.2.6 Ignition safety device
Models with thermocouple
42
: in the case of an unintentional extinguishing of a
burner flame, a safety device is triggered which interrupts the gas supply, even if
the gas tap is open. In this case, turn the rotary knob back to
position O
FF
«
».
Wait
at least 60 seconds
before you try to ignite the burner again.
