2.6.1 Natural gas: connection to the gas supply using a rubber gas hose

NSTRUCTIONS FOR THE QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL

If you connect the appliance to a
NATURAL GAS
supply using a rubber gas hose,
you must use a gas hose whose specifications comply with the regulations in force
(ensure that the reference standard is stamped on the hose).
For the connection to the
NATURAL GAS
supply, the internal diameter of the
rubber gas hose
must
be
13 mm
.
The length of the gas hose
must not exceed
1.50 metres.
The connection to the
NATURAL GAS
supply using a rubber gas hose is
only
permitted if the gas hose complies with the applicable regulations
and
can be
inspected along its
entire length
. The appliance
must
be free-standing, i.e. the
rubber gas hose
must not
be covered by kitchen furniture etc. (even parts of the
gas hose
must not
be covered).
H
OW TO CONNECT THE APPLIANCE TO THE NATURAL GAS SUPPLY
USING A RUBBER GAS HOSE
1.
Position the seal (
C
) between the hose connection (
A
) and the gas connection of
the appliance (
B
): s. fig. below.
2.
Then screw the hose connection (
A
) onto the gas connection of the appliance (
B
)
carefully and tighten it: s. fig. below.
3.
Push the rubber gas hose (
D
) onto the hose connection (
A
) and fasten it with a
clamp (
E
): s. fig. below. The clamp
must
comply with the applicable standard.
4.
Ensure that the rubber gas hose is installed properly.
5.
Carry out a leak test (e.g. with soap solution,
never
with a flame).
