Page Header
Below the ribbon is the page heading “Alarm Log”. Hover over the
Help
button to see a
description of the page. This description also appears in the “Context Help” box.
Log Data Screen
Below the page header is the log data screen. This screen will contain the last 128
alarms that happened on this PViQ™ Connectivity System. Each alarm is presented as
a semi-colon delimited list of dates. The first entry in the list is a time stamp (date and
time) of when the alarm occurred. The second entry in the list is a description of the
alarm. The rest of the entries are descriptors for SNMP traps. Track down where the
alarm occurred by identifying the Rack Name, Panel Name, and port number. There are
18 different types of trap alarms that may be generated from a PViQ™ Connectivity
System. There also may be non-trap alarm entries in the log that are informational.
They are tagged with an alarm type “*”, instead of one of the numbers listed in the
following list of trap alarms. Non-trap alarm entries are neither sent to Trap Receivers,
nor to Email Recipients.
The following is the list of trap alerts that could be generated from the PViQ™
Connectivity System:
•
1, Firmware Update status has changed.
•
10, Bad Command - invalid operation requested or malformed request.
•
20, PViQ mode has changed.
•
30, I-cord has been connected to a switch.
