Battery Power
A message urging caution will appear when Battery Recalibration is to be
performed again in less than a month or so since it was last performed. In a
case like this, do not perform Battery Recalibration.

The display will ask you to shut down Windows. Click [Yes].
Battery Recalibration will begin.
After the battery pack is fully charged, discharging begins. When the
discharging is completed, the power automatically goes off.
When Battery Recalibration is completed, charging begins.

Do not close the LCD panel or disconnect the AC adaptor while Battery Recalibration
is being executed.

Battery Recalibration can also be performed by following the procedure below.

Restart the computer.

Press the
F9
key while the [Panasonic] boot screen is displayed a few moments
after the computer begins the startup procedure.

When the Battery Recalibration Capacity is displayed, press the
Enter
key.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
The battery pack is a consumable item, and deteriorates gradually each time it is used.
Particularly when the battery is charged repeatedly while the AC adaptor is connected for a
long period of time, or when the computer is used in a very warm location, the battery pack
deteriorates more easily, and the years of durability may decrease. On this computer, you
can use effective switching of the Economy Mode (ECO) to reduce battery pack
deterioration, and enable the battery pack to last a little longer. Switch the Economy Mode
(ECO) in accordance with the way you use your computer.
