Replacing the chain

Danger - Warning

The percussion hammer lifting chain is a fundamental safety device therefore it must 
always be intact otherwise it must be replaced.

Check the percussion hammer lifting chain very carefully.
If the chain is damaged, worn, corroded, etc., it must be replaced immediately.
When replacing the chain replace the connection link and the fixing pins that connect the 
chain to the anchorage blocks.
The chain must be in any case replaced after 1000 hours of work.
The chain must be replaced by an authorised service centre.

Replacing the stroke plate

The oversized stroke plate (weight over 25 kg) must be replaced by two people using suit-
able lifting and support means.

1)   Remove the guide plate (H) from the machine.
2)   Move the lever (D) and rest the percussion hammer on a surface sufficiently strong to 

bear the weight of the hammer.

3)   Unscrew the nuts (A) and remove the screws (B).
