Remove the NVMe Switch Card

Remove the NVMe Switch Card

You must power off the server to replace the NVMe switch card.

Prepare the server for service.

See

“Preparing for Service” on page 61

Disconnect the NVMe cables that are attached to the switch card.

Remove the switch card from the chassis.

The steps to physically remove the switch card are the same as the steps for PCIe cards. For

detailed instructions, see

“Remove a PCIe Card” on page 139

Caution -

The switch card is supported only in Slot 5. You must install a replacement card in

the same slot.

Install the switch card.
