11.7.3 Origin mechanism
INFORMATION
The CNC rotary table with the corresponding NC data in the controller is set at the factory, and
should be checked and adjusted only with angular errors after an replacement of parts.
The sensor for the origin mechanism is illustrated in the figure below.
The origin dog is fixed to the periphery of the rotary table. The origin dog generates with the
sensor the retardation signal 1 ° ~ 2 ° before stopping. (According to the difference in total retar-
dation ratio)
Measuring the difference in origin between dog position and absolute origin of rotary
table.
Using this angle error value, the compensation data are carried out and the NC data reset.
1. The zero adjustment is carried out by repeated slowly turning the rotary table clockwise to
the zero mark of zero-scale.
2. Determine the angle error value to change the compensation value.
Angle error value = (360°- from work origin to moving angle)
Compensation value (Unit: PULSE) =
3. Enter the compensation value as the origin mechanism.
4. Repeat step 1 and perform the origin adjustment by clockwise rotation.
5. Check the horizontal position in the T-slot of the rotary table with a dial gauge and change
the compensation value again.
6. Please repeat steps 3 ~ 5 again and make sure that the compensation value in the horizon-
tal T-slot can be measured using a dial gauge, which is the movement angle from origin dog.
