Confirm that the IR imaging functions normally.

5.3

Inspection of IR imaging function

By referring to the instruction manuals for the LED light source and surgical
microscope used in combination with this instrument, set the power switch of the LED
light source to ON and then turn ON the surgical microscope.

Set the filter selector knob to “IR”.

Figure 5.3

Confirm that the IR imaging mode is entered and the IR icons are displayed on the
touch panel and observation monitor.

NOTE

• The image may be defocused at the moment the imaging mode is switched. If this

happens, re-focus it as described in Section 6.10, “Adjusting the focus” in the
instruction manual for the surgical microscope.

• AF cannot be operated in IR imaging and BL imaging.

• If the data display on the observation monitor is set to “OFF”, the IR icon is not

displayed on the monitor even when the IR imaging mode is entered.
