Inspect the instrument as described in "Pre-operation preparation and inspection" (page 37). If
there are any obvious malfunctions, do not use the instrument and contact Olympus for repairs. If
a slightest irregularity is suspected, do not use the instrument and take the actions described in
"Troubleshooting guide" (page 124). If the problem cannot be resolved by taking the remedial
action described, stop using the instrument and contact Olympus for repair.
8.1 Troubleshooting guide
8.1.1 Error messages

<SD MEDIA / NOT ENOUGH
MEMORY.>
The SDHC card is full.
→Delete the unnecessary data to free up space, or
replace with a new SDHC card.
TIP:
The internal memory can store up to approximately 20
still images. For details, see "Still images can be
recorded in the internal memory." (page 88).
<microSD MEDIA / NOT ENOUGH
MEMORY.>
The microSDHC card is full.
→Delete the unnecessary data to free up space, or
replace with a new microSDHC card.
<INTERNAL NOT ENOUGH MEMORY.> The internal memory is full.
→Insert the SDHC card and copy the image data in the
internal memory to the SDHC card. (When copying is
complete, images in the internal memory will be
deleted.)
<NO SD MEDIA.>
The SDHC card is not inserted.
→Load the SDHC card you use and try again. Or turn OFF
the instrument and ON again.
<No microSD MEDIA.>
The microSDHC card is not inserted.
→Load the microSDHC card you use and try again. Or
turn OFF the instrument and ON again.
<SD MEDIA ERROR. PLEASE FORMAT
THE SD MEDIA.>
The format of the SDHC card cannot be recognized.
