Operating the [BRIGHT] lever upward brightens the entire image and downward darkens the
entire image respectively.
Brightness can be adjusted to one of the 24 different levels.
Switching the gain mode
Pressing the [GAIN] button while a live image is displayed switches the gain mode.
Mode
Description
Auto (No
Display)
This mode automatically adjusts the brightness according to the settings of
[BRIGHT].
However, the noise may increase depending on the [BRIGHT] settings.
[WiDER1]
This mode is used for displaying live images at a level brighter than Auto (No
Display).
However, the noise may increase under certain observation conditions.
[WiDER2]
This mode is used for displaying live images at a level brighter than [WiDER1].
However, the noise may increase under certain observation conditions.
[Manual]
This mode is for observation at a fixed brightness level according to the
[BRIGHT] settings.
Use this mode for observing moving objects.
Noise may be less in this mode compared to other modes.
TIP:
The gain mode can also be changed by-pressing the [LIVE] button on the remote control unit.
4.7 Switching the folder on the live screen
TIP:
You can create a folder for recording and playing back the image. For details, see "File/folder
operation menu" (page 116).
On the live screen, you can use the [MEAS/ENTER] joystick to switch the folder for recording and
playing back the image.
