3.6 Attaching and removing the remote control unit

Open the interface door

(A)

Connect the remote control unit to the USB connector

TIP:

l

Hanging the hanger for attaching the base unit

(C)

of the remote control unit over the hook

(D)

for attaching the remote control unit of the base unit allows you to attach the remote

control unit to the base unit.

l

If you attach the remote control unit to the base unit when the <REMOTE CONTROLLER
VIBRATION> menu is set to <ON>, the remote control unit vibrates when it becomes
available.

l

One USB connector is equipped with the base unit. Connecting the USB hub (commercially-
available) to the USB connector allows you to use the remote control unit and the USB
wireless LAN adapter at the same time. Use the commercially-available USB hub that supports
USB 2.0. Do not connect two or more remote control units to the USB hub.

Removing the remote control unit

Remove the remote control unit in the reverse order of the attaching procedures.

Store the removed remote control unit in the carrying case according to procedures described in
"Storing in the carrying case" (page 136).

3.7 Attaching and removing the guide head

Attaching the guide head to the distal end of the insertion tube makes it easy to insert the
insertion tube.
