To determine the upstream – downstream distance of the interpanel
seal cut, run a string flush against the bladder from the back of the
base comma to the tip of the hinge comma. Run the string the same
distance flush across your interpanel seal to and mark this distance
on the interpanel seal.
5.
Cut the two rectangles that have been marked out of the base of the
interpanel seal. Press the base of the interpanel seal into place, with
the flat area of the seal parallel to the flat area of both bladders. Re-
trim the seal if necessary.
6.
Cover all interpanel seal retainer studs with anti-seize.
7.
With the base of the interpanel seal in position, use a mallet to hit
the interpanel seal at the location of each stud.
8.
Use the markings made by the anti-seize on the underside of the
interpanel seal to drill holes for stud locations.
9.
Test fit the interpanel seal and ensure that all holes cut fit over the
studs.
10.
Remove seal; apply silicone around the interpanel seal studs in
the same fashion as depicted in figure 14.
11.
Replace interpanel seal; fasten interpanel seal retainers with
