flap. This distance is labeled “A” on figures 14 and 15.

Measure the distance from the most upstream portion of the bladder
to the most downstream portion of the hinge. This distance is labeled
“B” on figures 14 and 15.

Using a permanent marker, create a rectangle starting on the
upstream inside corner of the abutment seal.
The left to right distance of the rectangle should be
= [width of the abutment seal in the clamping zone] – [A+1/4”].
NOTE: ¼” is added to the “A” measurement to ensure there is a
good interference seal between the abutment seal and the end of the
bladder. Measure this distance from point C on figure 15 – this is
the most critical area.
The upstream to downstream distance of the rectangle will be equal
to measurement “B”
Do not cut out the marked rectangle yet – this will be done in
step 8
