Powering On the Storage System
After you have the system setup and installed, you are ready to power on the
storage system enclosure(s).
NOTE:
Ensure that the data cables, power cables, or other objects are not
obstructing the air flow exiting the cooling fan module.
1 Locate the power supply On/Off switches at the rear of the enclosure(s).
2 Press each power supply switch to its “On” position. (Repeat this step for
each of the attached storage system enclosure(s).)
All enclosures will perform a power on self test during their initial start.
NOTE: It is recommended to wait until the storage system has completed its’
power on self test and the LEDs are indicating it is ready, before
powering on the host system.

Next power on the host computer(s) which are connected to the storage
system.
Powering Off the Storage System

From your Host system, stop all I/O operations.
2 Access one of the RAID Controller’s software utilities and shutdown the RAID
Controller.
3 After the controller shuts down, power off the enclosure by pressing the
power supply On/Off switches to its “Off” position.

Repeat the above step for each of the additional attached storage system
enclosure(s).
