Automatic Termination Override

Access to the controller firmware and onboard configuration utilities is
accomplished through its RS-232 Service Port via a single port USB-type connector.
Refer to “Port Information” on page 83 for connector pin-out details and the
NexStor SATA Communication RS-232 cable. The cable is provided with the
storage system.
The controller face plate has Activity and Status LEDs. Refer to the illustration
below for descriptions of each LED.

Automatic Termination Override
To ensure proper SCSI termination when daisy-chaining NexStor 4700S storage
systems, you will be required to override the automatic termination feature on
the enclosures that are not at the end of the SCSI bus chain. This option is
provided via a 4 switch DIP switch found on the RAID Controller’s circuit board.
It is accessed through the vent holes in the controller’s right-hand side case
panel.
