VIII. Optional Battery Backup Installation

Remove the rear end base cover by removing the screws, lifting up and pulling forward. (Note: The
following steps 1, 2, and 3 may have been performed at the factory) (

)

1. Plug the line cord from the oven into any empty outlet on the rear of the battery backup unit.
2. Connect the power cord to its socket on the battery backup and plug into either outlet mounted to

the base of the oven.

3. Plug the cable with the 9pin D-connector into the socket on the rear of the unit.
4. The battery backup turns ON and OFF with the main rotary switch.

IX. Final Things to Do

•

Verify that all connections (electrical or otherwise) have been made according to the above
instructions.

Ensure all packing material is removed.

X. Sprinkler Fire Suppression System

Special Precautions

should be taken if the unit is installed in a sprinklered room or building.

Your

Sprinkler contractor

should be consulted to determine if the existing sprinkler system has properly

rated sprinkler heads suitable for the environment in which the oven will be located. NFPA 13 and / or
any other jurisdiction having authority are reference sources. The purpose of this notice is to eliminate
the possibility of water damage caused by a sprinkler head fusing and discharging water as a result of
normal oven operating and maintenance procedures.
