Maintenance

XT V 160 X-ray System

XTM0011-F2

3. Push the focus cup into the socket firmly, making sure not to touch the filament area.

Close the source

After the filament has been changed, close and secure the source.

Check the condition of the sealing O-ring and ensure it is correctly
seated in its channel before closing the source.

Take care not to trap fingers when closing the source.

To close the source, follow these steps:

1. Slide back the locking pin.

2. Close the target lid and, whilst holding in position, fasten the retaining latch.

Rotate (advance) the target

Background

Before conditioning the X-ray source and calibrating the filament, you should ensure that the
target is not pitted. It is therefore recommended that you rotate the target window a few
degrees clockwise.
