In case the plane is defined by two points (by
selecting [2Pt]), that vertical plane will be the
same with the one used in V-Pln function but
the indicating factors (Sta/dZ vs a/b) are
different. (See p.3-64)
Once the plane is defined, the calculated ‘a’, ‘b’
values are updated as you move the telescope. No
distance measurement is required.
a = Distance between P1 and the point which is
perpendicular to the target point along the
P1-P2 line
b = Length of the perpendicular line from the
target point to the P1-P2 line
