wash activation and provide city water to the wash instead of reclaim water. The
reclaim pump will not run unless the Prime Button is pushed, which will also open
the Pump Prime solenoid. The enzyme pump (Models ending in –M5B) and
oxygen concentrator / ozone generator (Models ending in –M512O and –M524O)
will not operate with the switch in the Hand position.
Off:
None of the reclaim system functions will operate when the switch is in the
“Off” position. However, there is still power to the various electrical components.
Auto:
To have the reclaim system operate in its normal, automatic mode the switch
must be in the “Auto” position. The system will operate the reclaim pump and
recognize signals from the level switch in the reclaim tank and the pump pressure
switch. The VFD will change the reclaim pump speed to meet the wash demands
when activation signals are received. Pushing the Pump Prime Button will activate
the automatic prime function. (See Pump Prime Button below.) The enzyme pump
(Models ending in –M5B) and oxygen concentrator / ozone generator (Models
ending in –M512O and –M524O) will also operate with the switch in the Auto
position.
e) Pump Prime Button:
The
black button next to the Control Switch allows the
pump to be automatically primed, provided city water is connected. The button
opens the ¼” solenoid valve to allow city water into the basket strainer, and fill the
suction line and basket strainer. If the Control Switch is in the “Off” position, the
button is inactive. With the Control Switch in the “Hand” position, keeping the prime
button depressed will open the solenoid valve and turn on the pump to assist in the
priming process. When the Control Switch is in the “Auto” position, depressing the
button once will activate the automatic prime function. This automatic function will
open the ¼” solenoid valve and close the 1” solenoid valve on the recirculation line
to fill the system until a pressure reading of 7 psig is achieved. The pump will come
on and will remain on as long as the pump discharge pressure is above 3 psig. If
the discharge pressure drops below 3 psig, the pressure switch will signal to shut
the pump off, indicating the system did not “catch prime”. In this case, the
automatic prime function will need to be initiated again until the system holds
prime.
f) Running / Warning Lights:
There is both a green and red light above the
Control Switch to indicate the operating mode.
Green Light:
On & Steady – Normal Operation
On & Blinking – Automatic Self Prime Mode
Red Light:
On & Steady – No Reclaim Functions are Operating
On & Blinking – In Automatic By-Pass Mode
