System Diagnostics
System Diagnostics runs several tests on the server.
From the
Tool menu
of EXPRESSBUILDER, choose
Test and diagnostics
to diagnose the system.
8.1
Tests
The following items are tested in System Diagnostics
Memory
CPU cache memory
Hard disk drive
Important To avoid affecting the network or the external storage, such as Fibre channel
or iStorage, be sure to disconnect the LAN cable and the external storage
before executing System Diagnostics.
Tips
On checking hard disk drives, no data is written to the disk.
8.2
Usage of System Diagnostics
After turning off the server or restarting the server, run System Diagnostics as follows.
1. Run EXPRESSBUILDER and choose
Tool menu
from Boot Selecton Menu.

Choose
English
if
Language selection menu
appears.
Press <Y> key if "Hit key to continue. [y|Y]" appears in Redirection mode.
2. From
Tool menu
, choose
Test and diagnostics
.
3. From
Test and diagnostics
, choose
End-User Mode (Basic)
to run System Diagnostics. This process
takes about three minutes.
When the diagnostics is completed, the screen changes as shown on the next page.
