Chapter 1  Maintenance 

 

Clearing a password 

1.  Turn off the server, and disconnect the AC power cord from power supply units.

Getting Started

" attached to this server or 

Chapter 2 (1. Installing Internal Optional Devices) 

in

User’s Guide

"

 

to remove Side Cover. 

2.  Confirm the position of Clear Password Jumper. 

3.  Change the jumper from 

Keep

 to 

Clear

. 

4.  Reassemble the server and press POWER Switch to turn on the server. 

5.  POST halts with the following error message 

ERROR 

8007: Password Cleared By Jumper. 

Press<F1> to resume, <F2> to Setup

 

6.  Press <F2> key to start BIOS Setup Utility and change the password, and then execute 

Save 

Changes and Exit

. 

7.  Turn off the power and return the jumper to 

Keep

 by following steps 1 and 2. 

8.  Reassemble the server.
