3.10.3 Installing the Windows plotter driver for network connection
Before installing the network connection, the plotter’s TCP/IP settings have to be chosen.
•
IP address plotter:
– This is the plotter’s IP address.
– Has to be filled out in the plotter AND the plotter driver.
– The PC will send the plot files to this IP address.

Subnet mask plotter:
Has to be filled out in the plotter.
•
Gateway plotter:
– This is the PC’s IP address or the router’s IP address on the plotter side.
– Has to filled out on the plotter.
Notes
•
When installing a router between the plotter and the PC, IP forwarding of the plotter’s IP address to the
PC is necessary. This to establish bidirectional communication between the plotter and the PC.
