e) Shutting Down the Model
• Let the model stop or brake until the vehicle has stopped.
• Switch off the model (e.g. switch off speed controller or the combustion engine in a combustion model, then switch
off the power supply).
• Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the speed controller or the power supply from the receiver.
• Now you may turn off the transmitter. Otherwise, the model may show unpredictable responses and there is a
danger of injury!
11. Crystal Change
In order to avoid a double channel assignment it may be necessary to change the crystals on your remote control
system. For this purpose, proceed as follows:
• For reasons of operational safety, you should only use crystals that are explicitly recommended for use in your
remote control system by the supplier.
• Switch off the model and disconnect the rechargeable battery from the speed controller or the power supply from the
receiver.
• Switch off the transmitter.
• Pull the transmitter crystal out when the transmitter is switched off (see figure 1, item 5).
• Replace the crystal with a crystal of the same wave band. Ensure that you place the correct crystal in the holder.
Transmitter crystals are normally labelled „T“ or „TX“ (T = „transmitter“).
The orientation of the crystal in the holder socket is unimportant.
• Remove the receiver crystal from the receiver when the receiver system is switched off.
• The matching receiver crystal must have the same channel number and band as the transmitter crystal. It is also
labelled with the letters „R“ or „RX“ (R = „receiver“).
• Insert the receiver quartz with the suitable frequency for the transmitter into the receiver. Orientation is also unimportant
here.
• Switch on the transmitter and then the model and check the remote control system function.
