The table below lists the
Error
messages that may be displayed on the Program Unit or Monitor Unit,
what those messages mean, and corrective actions you can take.
Error
Code
Contents
Cause
Corrective Actions
E-01 Self-diagnostic
error
Memory backup battery is
dead. Program data are lost.
Replace battery in Power Supply.
E-02
Start input error
Cable to input Schedule signal
is broken, and parity check
error is detected.
Check Schedule signal input cable.
Temperature of transformer is
too high and transformer
thermostat is open.
Correct cause of high temperature and check
temperature and flow rate of cooling water.
E-03 Transformer
thermostat error
Power supply for external
signal is not connected.
Check that pins 1 through 4 of I/O terminal
block are correctly connected. (See
Appendix B,
Electrical and Data Connections
.)
Correct cause of high temperature and check
temperature and flow rate of cooling water.
E-04 IGBT
thermostat
error
Internal temperature of
equipment is too high and
thermostat for power
transistors in power unit is
open.
Check that the duty cycle is not too high.
Electrode force is not
sufficient.
Increase electrode force.
SQZ time is set too short.
Check if setting of SQZ time is too short. Set it
longer than stroke time of electrodes.
NO-CURRENT TIME is set
low.
Increase NO-CURRENT TIME.
E-05 No-current
error
Fuse for valve is blown.
Check for valve problems, then replace fuse.
E-06
Current error
Welding current is out of
CURRENT setting range on
MONITOR SET screen.
Check work piece and secondary circuit.
E-07 Pulse
width
error Welding current pulse width is
out of PULSE
% setting range
on MONITOR SET screen.
Check work piece and secondary circuit.
E-08 Insufficient
number of weld
counts
Counted number of welds is
less than WELD COUNT
setting on Monitor Set screen.
Verify weld count setting; check for insufficient
weld pieces.
E-09
Step end
STEPPER COUNT finished
last step.
Dress or replace tip, then reset stepper.
