CHAPTER 3: USING ISA SERIES PROGRAMMING FUNCTIONS
ISA-4001CR INVERTER POWER SUPPLY
990-364
3-11
END SIG. MODE
– This entry is used to cause the End signal to occur when any monitor trouble signal
(current, voltage, power, or pulse width) occurs. With the
END SIG. MODE
set ON, the End signal
will
not
occur at the completion of the Power Supply operation if an error is present. With the
END SIG.
MODE
set OFF, the End signal
will
occur at the completion of the Power Supply operation regardless of
the error state.
INTERRUPT
– This entry is used to turn the Interrupt function ON or OFF. When on, any Interrupt
signal, received from an external source (through the I/O terminal block), will interrupt the operating
sequence and immediately advance the sequence to Hold.
RESET MODE
– This entry is used to determine the Reset method used to reset an Error signal (current,
voltage, power, or pulse width). When set to ON, the Error signal is only reset by an Error Reset signal.
When set to OFF, the Error signal can be reset by either the Error Reset or Start signal.
REMOTE PROG
– This entry is used to enable or disable SET commands from WeldLab. When set to
ON, all commands are accepted from WeldLab. When set to OFF, all READ commands from WeldLab
will be accepted and the only SET command accepted will be “RM” to set remote.
ACTIVE SCHED
– This 2-digit number shows the Schedule that is currently selected.
NOTE:
If the schedule shows as
00
, the schedule is set by hardware (such as a PLC), not by software.
Stepper Count Screen
The following procedures are for the Non-Linear Stepper function. The Non-Linear (or stepped) stepper
function will adjust the energy delivered to each weld by the percentage specified in the stepper setup
for all welds within each step.
The Stepper function changes the
welding current to compensate for wear
of the electrodes.
START ON STEP # –
These entries are
used to set the start value for each of the
four valves.

For example, if
VALVE 3
is set to

, Valve 3 starts from step 4.
STEP 1 – STEP 9 –
These entries are used to set the number of welds for each step. When the set
number of welds occurs, the next step begins.
Heat Increase Screen (Non-linear Stepper)
NOTE:
The
TD
(“Tip Dress”) and
CAP CHANGE
functions are
not
active in the Non-Linear stepper.
% HEAT
This is used to set the percentage
of current increase or decrease for each
of the nine Stepper steps. This value is
fixed for step 1 at 100% and adjustable
from 50% to 200%.
