4.16 Functions for Communicating with Peripheral Devices through an Ethernet Port
4
FUNCTIONS
(c) Resend processing for TCP connections
When there is no ACK response of the TCP protocols from the external device for
sending in TCP connection, resend processing is performed at the following
numbers of resends and resend intervals.
* 1 The variable n is a coefficient calculated dynamically based on the external device and network
status.
* 2 The connection is disconnected as an external device error once 30 seconds passed before 12
resends are completed.
After the final resend, if there is no ACK response of the TCP protocol within
64n
(*1)
seconds, the connection will be disconnected as an external device error.
(d) Connection by UDP
In communication using UDP, simultaneous communication can be performed
with only one peripheral device.
(e) Remote STOP/PAUSE for CPU module on another station with GX Works2/GX
Developer
Perform remote RUN or remote RESET on other station's CPU module before
powering off or resetting the C Controller module if remote stop or remote pause
has been performed on other station's CPU module by GX Works2/GX Developer
via the Ethernet port on the C Controller module.
(f) Operation using the connections listed below is not guaranteed.
Customers need to confirm the operation before using it.
• Connection using the Internet (a general public line)
• Connection using firewall devices
• Connection using broadband routers
• Connection using wireless LAN
(g) Direct connection to MELSOFT
A C Controller module cannot be connected to MELSOFT directly.
(h) Searching for CPUs with built-in Ethernet on the network
A C Controller module does not respond to search for built-in Ethernet CPUs on
the network. (C Controller modules cannot be searched.)
