8.0 Seating position on BMX and
dirt bikes
The seating position on BMX and dirt-bikes is
not comparable to that on other bikes. When
riding a BMX and dirt-bike, maximum con-
trol and movability on the bike are important.
Such a seating position does not provide ped-
alling comfort when riding longer distances.
In comparison to the conventional seating
position, riding on a very low saddle consid-
erably increases the stress on the knee joints.
Pay attention to the signals of your body and
seek medical advice, if necessary.
