Thread Break
The thread broke, and the machine stopped, then backed up 5 stitches. Make sure the thread path
is clear, bobbin thread is present, and the needle is installed correctly. Rethread the needle and
press the [START] key.
Thd Positioned?
The selector carriage is not positioned on the thread in the splice cell. The selector carriage moves
to position 1 each time the machine is turned ON and when a design finishes embroidering.
Normally the selector carriage is at position 1 when the machine is stopped and started. It is
possible to turn the machine OFF when the selector carriage is not on position 1. When the
machine is turned ON, it may be threaded from its previous position but sitting at position 1. If the
machine is not threaded, thread it and proceed. If the machine is threaded, follow these steps:
1. Free the thread from the grabber if it is there.
2. Gently pull the end of the thread until any slack created when the selector moved to position 1
is taken up.
3. Press [ALT][
⇒
] to move the selector carriage until it reaches the selector position that is
threaded. As you do this, keep the thread fairly taut to remove the slack.
4. Press [START].
Too Fast To Trim
Trim speed is 80 RPM, and any Z axis speed over 150 RPM causes this error. The machine stops, and
stays in stop mode. Press [START] to recover. If this error occurs more than once during a design,
contact your Melco representative.
Trimmer Not Home
This message is displayed when the machine tries to embroider after a trim, but finds the cutting
blade is not in its home position. Try the Go to Headup option in the Head Timing Menu to recover.
If this does not fix the problem, call your Melco representative.
X Axis Limit
The drive circuit of the X axis motor has detected excess power, caused by a jammed X axis motor
or beam or a malfunction of the X axis motor or electronics. Turn the power OFF, then ON to
recover. If this error occurs more than once during a design, call your representative for assistance.
X Command Error
An invalid command sequence was detected in the X axis motor controller software functions. Turn
the power OFF, then ON. If this error occurs more than once during a design, call your Melco
representative for assistance.
