Run Job Error
Means that no design was selected before pressing the [ENTER] key in the Run Design Menu to
begin embroidering. Unless you have color changes in your design, you need only the Design Menu
and Run Design Menu to embroider jobs.
S Command Error
This means that an invalid command sequence was detected in the selector motor controller
software functions. Press [START] to continue. If the message will not clear, turn the power OFF
then ON. If this error occurs frequently, call your Melco representative for assistance.
Selector Limit
This message means that the drive circuit of the selector motor has detected excess power. This is
caused by a malfunction of the selector electronics or a jammed selector motor. If the selector
carriage is jammed, clear it. Then, turn the power OFF then ON to complete the recovery. If this
error occurs more than once during a design, call your representative for assistance.
Select Timeout!!
This message is displayed when the selector is moved manually using the [ALT][ARROW] keys. The
selector carriage did not finish a move to a new thread position within 5 seconds. This error can be
caused by a jammed selector carriage or malfunction of the selector motor or electronics. Manually
move the selector carriage to see if it is jammed before trying a recovery.
During Power Up
If this message appears during the power-up and initialization sequence (meaning you’ve just
turned the power switch ON), then turn the power OFF and back ON to recover.
During Manual Color Change
If this message appears during a manual color change, the current thread must be hand trimmed at
the end of the selector carriage and the loose end removed from the splice cell and needle case.
Check the selector carriage again to make sure it is not jammed. Move the carriage to the middle
of its travel.
Press [START] and the selector should:
1. Move all the way to the right.
2. Move back to the color it was on before the error occurred.
Before you can continue embroidering, rethread the machine. Insert a thread through the splicing
cell using either the Insert Thread option in the Splicing Menu, or the [ALT][ARROW] then
[FAST/SLOW] key method. Then, finish the manual part of the threading through the needle.
If this message will not clear after the above steps have been taken, turn the power OFF, then ON.
If this error occurs frequently call your representative for assistance.
