10. Loosen the needle clamp screw on the

needle bar as shown in Figure 5-25.

11. Slide the needle bar up or down until

1/2 of the needle’s eye is visible in the
bobbin cavity. Do not twist the needle
bar.

12. Retighten the needle clamp screw.

Make sure the needle bar is still in the
correct position.

13. Go to the "Hook Timing" position by

pressing [ALT][

]. The LCD displays:

HOOK TIMING.

14. Press [

] 8 times. The LCD displays: 10

STEPS FORWARD each time the key is
pressed.

15. Loosen the black screw on the

upper-dead-stop clamp. See Figure
5-25.

16. Press [

] one more time. This rotates

the embroidery head to the full needle
up position.

17. Slide the clamp up firmly against the upper stop and tighten the screw on the upper-dead-stop

clamp. Make certain the screw points straight outward.

18. Press [ALT][

]. The embroidery head rotates to Headup.
