6.22 Maretron SMS100 Configuration

This describes the configuration of the Maretron SMS100 firmware version 2.0.1.9. The display may
be used to configure the Device Instance and Installation Description on the SMS (Text) Module
(SMS100). After selecting the SMS100 from the list of devices on the network, the following screen
will be displayed.

Advanced Configuration

Advanced Configuration changes some complex parameters within the device and should only be
performed by an advanced user. Typically, advanced configuration is only done at installation and
should not need to be done while at sea.

Device Instance

Program this parameter to the desired instance number for this device. You can program this
parameter to any value between 0 and 252. You usually will not need to modify the default value of
“0”.
