PROBABLE CAUSES
ANALYSIS
Although there is a lens with the icon of the function
on the panel, when the correspondent button is
activated, the red LED that indicated the activated
function does not “light”. And the charge of the
function is not activated as well. But the display
indicates “disabled function”.
The function is not enabled.
Get in touch with the Department of technical assistance of Marcopolo, or directly with the LOHR company.
The function is activated when the button is
pressed, the visual indicators (LCD and LED)
indicate that the charge is activated, but it does
not work.
Connection problems; Short circuit in the
charge; “Opened” charge; Programming
of the charges through the keyboard is
incomplete or not correct.
Check the cables (wiring harness) beginning from the connector of the module until the charge - check how the cables /
wires are finger-folded tightened to the terminals of the connectors;
Check the quality of the joints of the cables / wires;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are rusted;
Check if the charge is in short circuit or if there is a short circuit in the wiring harness through any screw, etc…
Check if the connectors of the module e of the charge(s) are connected correctly;
Check if the charge is consuming current over the one specified on the module label.
Windscreen wiper (auxiliary or upper) does not
turn off.
No energy circle of the windscreen wiper
end of course.
Make sure that the connectors of the front module and the windscreen wiper are correctly connected;
Check if the return wire of the end of course of the windscreen wiper is well connected;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are not rusted;
Check if the return wire is not broken.
The display indicated some error in a module.
Programming error.
Serial communication wiring error.
Check if there is feeding in the modules;
Check if the connectors of the module are correctly connected;
Check if the serial communication wiring is in short circuit or “opened”;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are not rusted;
The display presents “confuse” or illegible
writing.
Failure in the initialization of the display. Restart the control panel, and for that, you must check what is the fuse that feeds it, remove it and wait 10 seconds to reconnect
it. The user must disconnect the feeding fuse of the panel and check if it is really turned off.
The control panel does not turn on.
Lack of feeding.
Make sure that the feeding fuse is connected and in perfect state;
Check if the wiring is in short circuit or “opened”;
The system asks to start the ignition, but it is
already started.
Failure in the serial communication of
the module that has the input +15.
Absence of the ignition signal in the
system respective input.
Check if the serial communication wiring is in short circuit or “opened”;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are not rusted;
Check if the input 15 of the SCML system in a high tension level (from 18 to 32Vdc), when the ignition is started.
The vehicle is started, but the charges do not
turn off.
Absence of start signal in the module.
Check if the serial communication wiring is in short circuit or “opened”;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are not rusted;
Check if the input 50 of the SCML system in a high tension level (from 18 to 32Vdc), when the ignition is started.
The buzzer does not sound when the line is
pulled.
Absence of buzzer signal in the
module.
Check if the serial communication wiring is in short circuit or “opened”;
Check if the terminals of the connectors are not rusted;
Check if the line input signal of the SCML system in a low tension level (near 0Vdc), when it is activated.
The buzzer sounds continuously, even when it is
not activated through the buttons or the line.
Short circuit of the cables of the button
panel to the vehicle body.
Check the connections of the button panels. If it is a short circuit between vehicle body (through a screw or wiring in contact
with metal parts of the cars) this kind of problem may occur.
Display indicates battery problem.
Discharged battery or with high
tension.
Make sure that the battery tension is between 20 and 32 Volts.
Display indicates error, but the charge is turning on.
Low current consumption in the output. Raise the charge and insert a lamp of 21W in order to test if any error indication disappears.
