Press Enter. The Point-to-plane measurement is defined. The measurement is
entered into the History pane and the subparts are entered into the Primitives
pane.

To define standalone geometry, take various measurements and press Enter.
Finding Missing Lines
Although finding objects' edges in point clouds presents a challenge, it is essential
for performing accurate size measurements. Perform the following procedure to
find the edge of an object (for example, a tabletop) by finding the line of
intersection between two planes.

To find the edge of an object:

Click the
icon in the Measurement toolbar.

Click the Choose a Line by two planes option on the Line toolbar.

Define the tabletop as a plane.

Press Enter. The first plane is defined.

Define the tabletop’s thickness.

Press Enter. The second plane is defined. The intersection between the two
planes is defined as a line.

Double-click a point on the far side to determine the tabletop’s
measurements. The missing line is determined.
Finding Missing Planes
Missing planes can be recovered through other planes in the scene and used in
measurements. Perform the following procedure to measure the angle between
two walls when one is missing from the data.
