 Turn ignition OFF
 Crankshaft speed sensor
connector
DISCONNECTED
 Check the continuity
between pin 1 and pin 2
of the crankshaft speed
sensor connector
Step 1
 Ignition OFF
 Examine the short between pin
1 and pin 2
 Replace/repair the wiring
harness
 Clear the error codes and verify
Step 2
Does continuity
exist?
Go to Step 3
YES
Clear the error codes and
verify
Is P0335 or P0336
present?
 Connect the smart tester
 Turn the ignition ON
 Initialise the diagnostic tool
 Record the DTC and clear

Turn ignition OFF
 Turn ignition ON
 Crank the engine
 Verify if P0335 or P0336 is
present
