DTC Detecting Condition Probable Causes

The checksum of the injector adjustment
code words is not correct

The basic correction quantity in at least one
injector checkpoint has exceeded the
admissible limits

No injector adjustment values could be read
due to faulty EEPROM access

An incorrect IQA/IMA codes
is programmed into the ECU

TEST PROCEDURE

Program the IQA codes whenever an Injector, ECU or Engine is replaced

‘Smart Tester” has to ensure that an incorrect IQA code is not programmed into the ECU. At the first level,
if the entered code is obviously incorrect, the software will reject it without passing it to the ECU. IQA
codes are case sensitive. So, if you enter ahh48eb instead of AHH48EB the software will reject it outright.
Also, if the number of characters is less than 7, or if the characters entered are not valid alphanumeric, the
software will reject it without passing it to the ECU. In such a case, the software will pop-up a message,
saying ”Invalid IQA Code.”

The next level of filtering is in the ECU. Each IQA code has a checksum, which is checked against, in the
