Clear the error codes
and verify

Turn ignition OFF

Ensure that the fan relay is
inserted properly in the
connector

Remove the relay

Give 12 volts to terminal 86
and ground the terminal 85
of the relay

A clicking sound to be heard

Check the operation of the
Demister switch. (Refer
note)
Step 1
Is the clicking
sound heard?
Is the Demister
switch working?

Turn ignition OFF

Replace the Demister
Blower Relay with a new
one

Replace the Demister
Switch with a new one.

Connect the smart tester

Turn the ignition ON

Initialize the diagnostic tool

Record the DTC and clear

Turn ignition OFF

Turn ignition ON

Verify if P1536,P1534,P1535 or
P1537 is present
Is
P1536, P1534,
P1535 or P1537
present
?
NO
YES

Go to Step2
YES
