6.4 4-20mA current output. Setting of alarm signals.
Level transmitter is equipped with active 4-20mA current output for connection of
standard receivers.

Depending on configuration, it may be set to output product level in vessel or dis-
tance to the product surface readings, or 3mA, 4mA or 21mA alarm current signals.
Example of alarm signal setting screen is shown in Fig. 6.13. Right part of panel
contains controlled parameters list where each parameter is preceded with number
of its bit in the status register. For more details of the status register, see Section 7.
Four columns off at 16 check boxes are located in the left part of window; these
form the masks for the status register and alarm current signals generation. When
the check box is selected, corresponding bit of mask is set to 1 – marked parameter
will be taken into account; when the check box is deselected, the bit is set to 0
(masked out). The masked-out parameters are not used in measurement or alarm
current signal status generation.
Current signals priority for alarm signal readings is as follows: 21mA, 3mA, 4mA.
When any alarm signal is generated, level (distance) readings are not delivered to
the current output. This should be taken into account at the current signals setting.
