11.5.12 Remote VMIB Mailbox Control

Description

A user can access the VMIB mailbox from a remote location through the ipLDK DID/DISA (refer
to Ref. A) facilities. Once accessed, the user can manage voice messages, cancel user
activated Call Forward, or listen to and change the User Greeting.

Operation

To access a VMIB mailbox from a remote location,

1. Place a DID call to the desired Station or call to a system DISA line and dial the

station.

2. The User Greeting is played.
3. While listening to the User Greeting dial ‘

*

’ to receive the password request.

4.  Enter the Mailbox password code followed by ‘#’.
5.  The Main Menu is heard.
6.  Use the appropriate code for the desired function.

Consideration



Dialing ‘*’ while in a sub-menu, will return the caller to the main control menu.



If the user does not dial a digit in the Inter-digit time, the connection is dropped.



The station must have VMIB access.
