Diagnostics

Start

Use the error message table, symptom table, and diagnostic aids in this
chapter to determine the corrective action necessary to repair a
malfunctioning printer.

If an error message is displayed on your machine, locate it in the Error
Message Table below and take the appropriate action.

If your machine does not have an error message and does not complete
POST, go to “Power-on Self Test (POST)” on page 4-5. If your machine
makes it through POST without an error, and you have a symptom, go
to “Symptom Table” on page 4-6, locate your symptom and take the
appropriate action.

If an error message appears while you are working on the machine, go
to the Error Message Table and take the indicated action for that error.
