Print Registration Adjustment
Use the Diagnostics Test Page to decide if any changes need to be
made to the print registration adjustment. The values for each margin
are printed in the diagnostic information block on the test page.
You can use either the diagnostic service diskette or the internal WPS
Diagnostic Toolkit, if installed.
1. Select Setup from the menu.
2. Select one of the following from the Commands Description List:
• Set Left Margin
• Set Top Margin
• Set Bottom Margin
3. Select Send to Printer.
4. Enter your changes on the Printer Command Update and Send
screen and send to the printer. The range of registration is in the
following table.
To set the margins:
Left Margin
This margin can be set between -10 and +10. Changing the
number by one moves the margin .34mm (1/75 inches). Moving
the number in a positive direction moves the margin toward the
right and in the negative direction moves the margin to the left.
Top Margin
This margin can be set between -12 and +12. Changing the
number by one moves the margin by .34mm (1/75 inches).
Moving the number in a positive direction moves the margin
down the page and widens the top margin. Moving the number in
a negative direction moves the text up the page and narrows the
top margin. Changing the top margin does not affect the bottom
margin.
