If your printer did not complete POST, locate your symptom in the
“POST Symptom Table” on page 4-6, and take the appropriate action.
Note: If the machine is in button lockout mode, POST will complete, but
the right half of the display will be blank and the buttons will not operate.
Turning the machine off will not exit the button lockout mode.
Locate your symptom in the following table and take the appropriate
action.

1 and 1/2 rows of PELs
did not appear on the

The fuser lamp did not

The fan did not turn on. Refer to the Fan Service Check in the Service
Manual.
The motor did not turn
on. Refer to the Paper Feed Motor Service Check in
the Service Manual.
