6.7 One-sided spreading
6.7.1 One-sided spreading MDS 55 M / MDS 65 M / MDS 85 M
/ MDS 735 M / MDS 935 M
For left- or right-hand spreading, uncouple the round handled application control
lever from the flat handled one and, depending on the desired spreading side,
bring the corresponding application control lever to the stop point.

Operate the round handled application lever: right-hand side spreading

Operate the flat handled application lever: left-hand side spreading
6.7.2 One-sided spreading MDS 55 K / MDS 65 K / MDS 85 K /
MDS 735 K / MDS 935 K
To spread to the left or right, the control valve is depressurised on either the
left- or right-hand side allowing spring tension to pull the corresponding mete-
ring slide to its stop.
6.7.3 One-sided spreading MDS 55 D / MDS 65 D / MDS 85 D /
MDS 735 D / MDS 935 D
To spread to the left or right, operate the corresponding control valve, allowing
the hydraulic cylinder to move the corresponding metering slide to its stop.
6.7.4 One-sided spreading MDS 55 R / MDS 65 R / MDS 85 R /
MDS 735 R / MDS 935 R
To spread to the left or right, close or open the corresponding shut-off valve to
the double acting mechanism to depressurise the control valve, allowing spring
tension to pull the corresponding metering slide to its stop.
6.8 Yield and environmental optimised border spreading
With yield optimised border spreading a fertiliser distribution pattern is produced
so that only a minimum amount of fertiliser is thrown over the field edge while,
at the same time, the desired application rate up to the edge of the field is only
slightly reduced.
With environmental optimised boundary spreading, no fertiliser is thrown over
the field edge but a reduction in application rate up to the edge of the field must
be accepted.
6.8.1 Yield optimised border spreading in the first tramline
Adjust the vanes on the spreading disc nearest the field edge in accordance
with the information from the spreading chart. The metering slide is set to the
same position as the metering slide on the field side.
