8.2.2 Agitator shaft and agitator
Lubricate the agitator shaft and agitator before and after each season with gra-
phite grease, as per section 5.5, photos 3 and 4.
8.2.3 Metering slides, positioning levers, links and ad-
justment scale segment
For trouble-free operation of the hydraulic metering control, it is recommended
that the metering slides, positioning levers and control links are adequately
greased to ensure free movement.
8.2.4 Disc hubs
The disc hub should be lubricated regularly with graphite grease to ensure trou-
ble-free movement of the synthetic castellated disc hub nuts.
Check the synthetic castellated disc hub nuts for cracks and damage and renew
immediately if defective.
8.3 Gearbox oil level
The gearbox has a constant lubrication system and is maintenance-free in nor-
mal operating conditions.
The oil level is correct when oil reaches the lower edge of the opened fil-
ling/control plug when the fertiliser unit is absolutely level.
An oil change is recommended every 10 years, or at shorter intervals if high
pressure washers have been frequently used, as well as when fertilisers with
high dust content have been employed.
The control plug also serves as the filler and drain plug.
Correct oil capacity is 2.2 litres of SAE 90 API-GL-4 gear oil.
Disposal of old oil
Only dispose of old oil in an environmentally correct way.
