Following hints for correcting the spread pattern are applicable for
both one- and three-pass methods
If the results obtained are as shown in Example B check that both right- and
left-hand meterig slides open exactly equally.
Check that tramline widths are equally spaced and parallel and that there
has been no cross-wind during the test run.
If results obtained are as shown in Example C the setting given for the second
disc vane position in the spreading charts should be decreased (smaller figure
selected) so that the fertiliser in the overlap zone is reduced.
Example: Given settings : C3 - B2
New setting : C3 - B1
If results obtained are as shown in Example D the setting given for the second
disc vane position in the spreading charts should be increased (higher figure se-
lected) so that fertiliser in the overlap zone is increased.
Example: Given settings: C3 - B2
New setting : C3 - B3
If the angle correction for the second disc vane is not sufficient, additional cor-
rection can be obtained by increasing the vane length.
Example: B3 C3
Lengthening this vane will result in more fertiliser being taken from the middle
and thrown into the overlap zone area.
If the overall spreading width is too wide or too narrow , the setting given for
the first disc vane position should be decreased or increased to the next given
working width setting given in the spreading chart.
