TRANSMISSION

Steering Support Under Cover and Rear Bonnet

1. Remove the steering support under cover (1).
2. Remove the rubber sheet (3) and disconnect the 

3-1P

connectors (2).

3. Remove the shield assembly (6).
4. Loosen the rear bonnet mounting screws (8).
5. Remove the seal (4) and panel guide mounting screw (5).
6. Disconnect the wire harness and remove the rear bonnet (7).

Separating Engine from Clutch Housing

1. Make sure the engine and clutch housing case are securely

mounted on the disassembling stands.

2. Remove the steering support mounting screw (1) for front side.
3. Remove the engine mounting screws and nut, and separate the

engine from the clutch housing.

(When reassembling)

• Apply molybdenum disulphide (Three Bond 1901 or equivalent)

to the splines of damper disc boss.

• Apply liquid gasket (Three Bond 1141, 1211 or equivalent) to joint

face of the engine and clutch housing.

3. Remove the air cleaner hose (2).
