Procedure

1

Locate the firmware update file:

SOPupdate.zip

.

2

If you use a separate computer:

a

Copy the file to a folder on your computer, but

do not

unpack it.

b

Disconnect the Operating Panel from the Processor Unit. (Ethernet cable)

c

Connect the Operating Panel to the computer.

d

Open the web browser.

A firmware update for the Operating Panel was distributed with sonar software
version 3.1.8. If this update has not been implemented you will need to use the
Chrome web browser.

e

In the browser address field, type: http://157.237.60.20:5000

Note

If you have previously changed the IP Address on the Operating Panel, you must
use this address to open the configuration page.

If you use the Processor Unit:

a

Select

Power off

to turn off the system.

b

In the

Power Off

dialog box, select

Exit to Operating System

to close

the CS90 program.

c

If applicable: Connect the keyboard and the mouse to USB sockets on
the front panel of the Processor Unit.

d

From the Windows

®

Start

button, right-click to open File Explorer.

e

Insert the USB flash drive.

f

Copy the file to a folder on the Processor Unit, but

do not

unpack it.

g

Remove the USB flash drive.

h

On the Processor Unit desktop, open folder

SIMRAD-Shortcut

.

Double-click the URL shortcut to open the Operating Panel configuration page in
the default web browser.
